This is Adelaide Brown. I used to go to TrackersNW. I’m creating a website for women who are active in the outdoors and I was wondering if I could do an interview/profile as an article. I would, of course, provide links to your blog and class schedule. 🙂
I’ve been reading your blog for a long time and really love it. I lived in Portland for three years but had no contact with other rewilders because I mostly did school-related stuff. Now I live back east where I don’t even know other anarchists, let alone green anarchists. It sucks so much. The only primitive skills I have are finding ginger and huckleberries on Mt. Hood. Plus I was homeless for half of last year including the winter months, so I can handle cold pretty well. I want to move back to Portland now and be your friend. Are Portland rewilders nice and welcoming to new-comers, or do they cast scowls upon them?
Hmm, well honestly the scene is very cliquish, but some people are welcoming. I’m easygoing and hang out with a wide variety of people myself, who don’t get along with each other. So I just don’t mention certain people around other certain people.
